About us
At Axjo, innovation is built on people who combine hands-on experience with a drive to learn new things. One of them is Linus Hammarstig, a 24-year-old from Gislaved who is now part of the Research & Development department. With a background in material handling and a year at Axjo Academy, he has grown into a key player in developing the company’s next generation of products.
Before joining Axjo Academy, Linus worked in the material department, a role that gave him valuable insights into the company’s operations. When Axjo launched its Academy, he saw an opportunity to take the next step.
""The Academy felt like the perfect opportunity to keep developing while staying close to home. I could continue working in Gislaved and at the same time build a future in something I’ve always been interested in," he says.
During his time at Axjo Academy, Linus not only deepened his technical understanding but also got the chance to explore the broader world of production.
"The absolute highlight of the year was the trips across Europe and to the U.S. Seeing our customers’ facilities up close and how our products are used in real production gave a whole new perspective," he recalls.
The experience gave him a unique perspective on how design decisions impact real-world performance, a lesson he carries with him into every project today.

Today, Linus spends much of his time in the project phase of developing new products for Axjo. He contributes with drawings, strength calculations, and design work, ensuring that each product meets the company’s high standards of quality and innovation.
The R&D department is also responsible for the company’s mold tools, which means his role involves a wide variety of tasks, from designing new components to solving day-to-day technical challenges.
"No two days are the same, and that’s what I enjoy most about it. You get to be creative, solve problems, and see your ideas take shape in real life," he says.
His journey from the material department to R&D shows how Axjo Academy opens doors for those who are curious, ambitious, and ready to grow.
