About us
At Axjo, development never stops, and neither does the curiosity of those who drive it forward. One of them is Oscar, who began his journey at Axjo in 2022 as a Material Technician and is now taking on his new role as Quality Technician after completing a full year in the Axjo Academy program.
With a strong interest in precision, improvement, and learning, Oscar represents exactly what Axjo Academy is built for: growing talent from within and shaping the next generation of specialists.
Oscar’s time in the material department gave him valuable hands-on experience with Axjo’s production processes. After two years in that role, he felt ready for a new challenge.
“I wanted to take the next step in my development,” he says. “Quality felt like the right fit. I’m detail-oriented, set high standards for myself, and always strive to make things as good as they can be.”
When the opportunity to join Axjo Academy arose in 2024, Oscar didn’t hesitate. Under the guidance of his mentor, Helene, he began deepening his knowledge of quality systems, continuous improvement, and internal audits, while taking part in several key training courses, including ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
Throughout the Academy year, Oscar combined theory with practice through daily involvement in the production environment. He identified real challenges, analyzed root causes, and led improvement projects that made a measurable difference.
One of his main projects focused on improving sprue handling for tools. By addressing the challenge, Oscar helped streamline production and increase product reliability.
“It’s been an incredibly valuable experience,” he explains. “I’ve learned so much from colleagues with years of expertise, and every day has brought something new. The Academy really teaches you to think critically and continuously look for ways to improve.”
He also emphasizes how much he’s matured during the year, learning not just new technical skills but also how to handle challenges and take initiative in complex situations.
Now stepping into his new position as Quality Technician, Oscar will continue to build on the experience gained through Axjo Academy. His work focuses on ensuring that every product leaving Axjo meets the highest quality standards, while also driving continuous improvements across departments.
The final part of his Academy journey will take place in 2026, when he travels to visit Axjo’s U.S. operations to gain international insight and perspective.
Oscar’s journey from material handling to quality, perfectly reflects the purpose of Axjo Academy: to develop internal competence, nurture ambition, and prepare the company and its people for the future.
